Ethos & Approach
CAPSLOCK is an art collective founded in 2016, with a mission to help one another achieve creative dreams through collaboration, encouragement, and accountability. Initially formed by 10 Kutztown University students on the verge of graduating and entering the art world, CAPSLOCK now consists of 10 Kutztown alumni who remain dedicated to both their creative pursuits and one another. CAPSLOCK celebrates the power of artists investing in each other’s success.
We meet weekly to check in, collaborate, and offer constructive feedback on our projects. Acting as both honest critics and devoted supporters, we push each other to grow and succeed. Our artistic diversity is our greatest asset, and our work includes a huge variety of disciplines such as painting, drawing, graphic design, film, photography, interactive installation, jewelry, and sculpture. Each year we collect everything we’ve made and show it off to the world in our Annual DIY Group Show
